UHH's album will be bestowed upon us on the 19th, but the album has already been leaked and downloaded, as if we didn't know that was gonna happen. Anyway, the tracks are an array of soothing melodic tunes with "Wait Another Day" and "Everyone" (which are my personal favorites), to the electro-pop instrumentation of "Explode" and "Not A Love Song". The creativity is totally Grey with her experiences working with a wide variety of artists from Dr. Dre to Kelly Osbourne. On the rocker side of it, Hailey lends her experiences as the guitar wielding rocker-girl of the Murmurs and Gush. Hailey is definitely kick-ass on the bass guitar, not to mention her hair swinging shimmy when she's pounding out electro-pop rhythms on percussion. I've been listening to it for quite a while now (can't wait to get that autographed cd that i preordered months ago, though). Covered is probably my favorite, along with Everyone. Really I love it ALL though, and have been listening to it almost daily since I downloaded the leak (at least two months ago). This is the most excited I've been about a band in a long, long time. I'm looking forward to seeing how the public likes it. Even though it always makes me a little sad when I have a "little" band that i like a lot who becomes mainstream. It's fun having my own little band to follow. But of course I do wish them lots of success! They certainly deserve it. And I hope this is the first of several uh huh her cds!
Don't be sad Shannon--they're not mainstream yet. I don't even know if a band of their calibre would even want to go mainstream, but I totally get you. If they do crossover, I wish them all the success in the world. I want to see Leisha win at least one Grammy. As far as my favorites besides "Everyone" and "Wait Another Day", "Covered" and "Dreamer" top my list as well. In fact, I've been listening to the album everyday since I got it.
I am sooo very excited about this album! I really can't wait. I really hope they don't go mainstream. :(
I just got the CD and the autographed picture and the autographed insert in the mail today! I'm so excited! Listening to it right now!
