Cam & Lil Kim?

Looks like Cam is keeping busy while on hiatus. She's featured in the new Se7en video with Lil Kim called "Them Girls". Why have I never heard of Se7en? Apparently he's a hit all over Asia. I have to look him up. Anyway, I'm not sure when the video is due to be released, but it should be out pretty soon. Lil Kim has had soo many face lifts, booby lifts, breast augmentations, collagen's, botox--she's doesn't even look like the Lil Kim from back in da day. She's still one of my favorite female rappers nonetheless. If anybody knows where we can find a leak to this vid--plz divulge.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY CAM!!!

It's been almost two years since this dark haired bassist joined our beloved L Word star to form the electro-pop phenomenon Uh Huh Her. Now she's transitioning from a struggling musician in her 20's--to a guitar wielding rocker woman in her 30's. I know Leisha, Nina, Clea, Kate, and Rose are gonna do her up right for her big three O. Here's wishing Cam the best in 09' and continued success throughout her career....WE LOVE U O MIGHTY DARK ONE!!!

ALICIA WARRINGTON

Alicia Warrington I heard was a badass drummer that made up the trio of Uh Huh Her. As Leisha explains it, the [Her] in Uh Huh Her was synonymous to the group as a whole. It's an estrogenous band....At least they tried to keep it that way. But Alicia Warrington for whatever reason had to leave the group suddenly. But it's apparent that she is missed. By looking at the pics above, the threesome were close knit and very good friends. We don't hear about Alicia as much anymore since she left, which makes me wonder what the reason was for her departing the group in the first place. At any rate, I would have loved to meet this fantastic drummer...there's something about a woman with sticks that turns me on. If anyone has any idea on why Alicia left please share. Next time I speak with Leisha, I'll ask her about the original badass drummer of Uh Huh Her....Alicia Warrington.

VISION OF LOVELINESS

EYE C-U

I will try to get in touch with Leisha's camp to get a handle on this spinoff biz. From what I understand filming should have commenced. I don't know how many episodes their doing for the pilot, but I hope it's well received. I really want Leisha to continue with her acting career along with the music. This is a volatile industry and the key to success is to keep working an getting paid and enjoy what you do. But Leisha has never had a problem, she's always been a workaholic-so to speak. Although The L Word is ending, it's also an opening to a new beginning. More shows in lesbian drama will saturate the airwaves, and we must not forget the ladies who have paved this very difficult path. Kaye and I will try to keep the blog new and interesting and continue to follow the life and career of Miss Hailey. I'll be doing more interviews with Leisha as her career progresses; hopefully catching up with her in Europe. I'm working on that. Let's just keep showing the love for our girl as she continues to shine... :)

IMEEM VID//UHH

The girls discuss the making of the vid "Explode" and the concept. Jody is a talented animator.

MY JOURNEY TO LONDON

Well I'm headed off to London with grandma. I'll be gone for a week---My patna in crime Kaye will hold it down one time for a sista. I'll try to make it to the UHH concert, or least hang outside since the show is sold out. I know if I try to get tickets now the prices are gonna be outrageous... :( You guys help Kaye out and show her some love as she takes on this very difficult task...lololol. Ok, I'm off to do some last minute errands---C-U NEXT WEEK--CHEERIOOO!!! :)

UHH TALKS TO CHICAGO

UHH PODCAST IN CHI-TOWN

Podcast

Dallas//DVTV

Nice report--I especially took a liking to Stan--He was really down to earth--and it shows that you don't have to be in any particular age group to enjoy good music. At the end, the girls make it known who their presidential candidate is...GET OUT THERE AND VOTE YOU GUYS--I can't begin to tell you how important it is right now...I voted early. :)

UHH's NEW SONG//I've Had Enough

Shannon you're the talk of the town today....I love the footage you got of the girls singing their new song. I love it already...:)

And The Winner Is......

This is really cool. Shannon aka (skipgo) won the UHH video tagging contest awhile back--I peeped her video yesterday and was amazed how ingenious and creative the video was...I'm impressed. Well Shannon is planning on giving the girls the shoes when she attends their concert, and she has vowed to give us feedback on the outcome. So Shannon, make sure you come back and tell us how it went. I'm really excited about the reaction you're gonna get when they receive the shoes. Good Luck. In the meantime--check out Shannon's video that won her the coveted prize.

Part II//My Interview With Leisha (snippet)

Speedy: It's the final hurrah for you and the other cast members of TLW. How do feel about the whole finality of this bittersweet moment?
Leisha: We're all ready to move on, but there is that sadness because you're coming to a close and you're not going to see these ppl everyday; we've all become a family. As cliche as that sounds it really does happen, and it is bittersweet...I think it's all hitting us right now.

Speedy: So is it safe to say that the spinoff will be a continuation of TLW?

Leisha: (really shyly)..ohh I can't tell you...I'm not allowed to say.

Speedy: CRAP!!!

Leisha: (laughs)...

Speedy: Did you know that Kanye West has your video on his blog?

Leisha: (surprised)...yeah we just heard that and I saw it..I was soo honored!! And we don't have nooo idea how that happened...(laughs).

Again, this interview is one of my favorites....I absolutely loved talking to Leisha one on one :)

CHECK OUT UHH'S NEW WEBSITE...IT'S PRETTY COOL!!

I still think they are working on the site--it's brand new.

UHH.COM

UHH and Tegan & Sara

Tegan and Sara are apparently another indie band who is up and coming in the industry. Leisha and Cam obviously are big fans of the group, and vice versa. I personally have never heard of them until I started following UHH around the country. Jesus! it's not easy keeping up with these beautiful women. Are any of you familiar with Tegan and Sara? Shed some incite into this juvenile set of brunettes who are also creating a buzz in these parks.
BTW--notice Cams lady love Clea Duvall in the background...she's never too far away from her girl...heh heh.

Uh Huh Her On Tour

Me and Speedy12 had the pleasure of seeing Uh Huh Her on tour in Atlanta May 12. If you haven't had a chance to see them you definitely should. Camila Grey and Leisha are amazing! They are some of the sweetest people you could meet. The drummer, Josh, is a beast and the guitarist, Jacque, is so cool. Sadly most of the shows are sold out, but it doesn’t hurt to call the venue and see if they have extra tickets. The Atlanta show was sold out, but the venue had 20 more tickets to sell. Call People! You won't be disappointed.
