UHH WEBSITE BY GREEN

Hey guys lets show our support for a very special person who has supported our blog faithfully and is a wiz at just about anything technical. Green has started an UHH website in honor of our girls. It's still in the baby stages, but like all newborns-it will grow. So let's show her some love and check it out.

ALICIA WARRINGTON

Alicia Warrington I heard was a badass drummer that made up the trio of Uh Huh Her. As Leisha explains it, the [Her] in Uh Huh Her was synonymous to the group as a whole. It's an estrogenous band....At least they tried to keep it that way. But Alicia Warrington for whatever reason had to leave the group suddenly. But it's apparent that she is missed. By looking at the pics above, the threesome were close knit and very good friends. We don't hear about Alicia as much anymore since she left, which makes me wonder what the reason was for her departing the group in the first place. At any rate, I would have loved to meet this fantastic drummer...there's something about a woman with sticks that turns me on. If anyone has any idea on why Alicia left please share. Next time I speak with Leisha, I'll ask her about the original badass drummer of Uh Huh Her....Alicia Warrington.

THE MAGAZINE IS OUT!!!

THIS IS WHAT YOU GUYS HAVE BEEN HOUNDING ME ABOUT!!!!
MY INTERVIEW WITH LEISHA!!!

A lot of the interview was edited, but I think I posted the edited parts for you guys already a while back.

Leisha Hailey is a walking array of eclectic talent: musician, singer, actress, songwriter, painter, and so much more. Even other artists have taken notice of her seemingly omni-presence. A few days before our interview with the quirky star of Showtime's lesbian themed drama series, The L Word, she was wrapping up the filming of its sixth and final season in Vancouver. Her character, Alice Pieszecki, is the animated nucleus of the shows core cast of women. The show has a huge cult following and, off camera, Hailey remains in tune with her character. She is also half of the electro-pop duo, Uh Huh Her, a band whose video has been featured on Kanye West's blog. "Yeah, we- ]UST heard that and I saw it. I was so honored and I don't have any idea how that happened." She laughs. "That was really very exciting for us." Although Hailey is familiar with West's music, she admits she only listens to it if it's on the radio. There is one hip hop artist in particular she would like to work with. "Missy Elliot is one of our favorites," says Hailey. "She's one of the people we would love to collaborate with. Cam has a really big background in that whole world." Hailey speaks adoringly of Camila Grey, [her dark haired other half of Uh Huh Her] often hailed "the mysterious one.'' Camila has worked with some big name hip hop artists, such as Busta Rhymes and Dr. Dre. Their album Common Reaction is practically screaming GRAMMY; it has become a favorite with a legion of fans across the globe. Call it divine intervention that Leisha Hailey and Camila Grey came together effortlessly and managed to produce it in a such a narrow space of time. "It wasn't rushed in the sense that we felt we would put anything out that we weren't proud of," says Hailey. Instead their focus was on doing it professionally and doing it better and cleaner while getting a really good sound." I asked Leisha, with the success of this debut, if she has thought about their sophomore project. "We've actually continued writing. Our focus right now is to promote and tour this record," says Hailey, "but we definitely have new material already. We're still going!" She has gained a musical following with UHH and the prior 90's alternative rock group, The Murmurs.

At 37, Life after The L Word holds no boundaries. Leisha is at the prime of her career. So how does she feel about this last curtain call? "We're all ready to move on, but there is sadness because you're coming to a close and you're not going to see these people everyday; we've all become a family. As cliche' as that sounds, it really does happen, and it's bittersweet. I think it's all hitting us right now; there's only about three weeks left," comments Hailey. Hailey has her career under control. Some even think she's a workaholic, but don't tell her that. Hailey admits, "I have called myself that before, but I feel it has a negative spin to it. I don't know, I'm doing two things that I absolutely enjoy doing. When it come to work, I don't feel resentful or tired because I really enjoy it."
The execs at Showtime want to keep the shows momentum going. They have signed Leisha Hailey to do a spin-off to which she will be the focal character. It is rumored that it will pick up right where The L Word left off, but who knows? I asked Leisha about the much anticipated follow-up, but she remains tight-lipped about it. "Oh I can tell you, I'm not allowed to say," she says shyly. She did divulge that filming for the pilot will begin in December.

With every opportunity that falls at her feet, it's a wonder how she fits in a personal life. Leisha guards her relationship with longtime girlfriend and fashion designer Nina Garduno. She's reluctant to discuss her private life. She yearns to be home more often and it's apparent as her voice softens. "I was just telling someone that it's my home life that I miss, my personal life that I need to prioritize more. That's really what's hard, is that you're not home as much as you would like to be," admits Hailey.
As the year comes to a close, there's no doubt that Leisha Hailey will dive head first into the ocean of opportunities waiting for her. With a hit cable series, a rising musical career, and an impending spin-off in the works, it's safe to say that she wouldn't demand anything but to be happy. "So far everything that I've done, I've done with people I really enjoy working with. I have made a lot of fantastic friends."

EXCLUSIVE//UHH

AGAIN I WANT TO THANK VIKKI FOR BEING AHEAD OF THE GAME. THESE MAY BE RECENT-NOTICE LEISHA'S HAIR IS BRUNETTE ONCE AGAIN. :)

A very belated thank you from our girls: -Hellooo Lovelies. We're writing to tell everyone thank you so much for coming out and supporting us on the road. We had such an amazing tour, and thanks to all of you we had a very successful one. We couldn't have done it without you! So muchas gracias, merci,ありがとう, Grazie, Danke, Obrigado and all the other ways to say thank you. We really do. As for right now, we're writing material for records and Ep's to come at our new studio "Funworld". We named our tourbus "funworld" so we thought we'd follow suit with our new studio. It's like an alternate universe, and we dig it. We might even make an acoustic record because we hear you guys like those kinds of things? We're always listening...so watch out! We wish all of you happy holidays(daze) and see you in the new year. KISSES/UHH-

The Fashion has CXLD

The Fashion, UHH's opening act, has cxld some of their tour dates. What does this mean for our girls? Will they be affected as well? SOMEBODY CHECK THE WEATHER!!! :(

"Due to heavy blizzards The Fashion have been forced to cancel our shows in Seattle, Vancouver and Portland. We are very sorry, but is has simply not been possible to get through the snow and ice. We are now waiting it out in the litlle town of Medina in North Dakota, but will definitely make our show in San Francisco. We are all sad to miss the concerts, and we sincerely apologize to all our fans with the promise of being back as soon as possible! On the positive side of things since Medina is a hunting town, the whole band has now learned how to fire shotguns and huge caliber hunting rifles at bottles and cans at night, in icestorms while being incredibly drunkFire it up!!!"

HEATHERS EXPERIENCE IN CHI-TOWN

"My head is totally in one of your pics! Lol...it was great to finally meet you badjedi, too bad we couldn't have hung more. I also had a great time hanging with the Uh Huh Her Hot Dogs as we dubbed ourselves, the 8 of us who waited in line starting at 1230 on. 5 of us from Wisconsin, 1 from Illinois(me), 1 from Iowa, and 1 from Missouri. You guys were a blast and made the time waiting for the concert fly on by. Can't wait til the next UHH concert in Chicago, I will definitely make the trip. Now for my review. I got to the venue about 1230 and luckily got to meet Cam and Leisha at around 130 when they were out by their bus. I went to go up to Leisha a little earlier than that when I saw her by the bus, but she was on her phone so I didn't want to bother her. They were extremely nice and let me and a few other of the girls who were waiting in line take pictures with them. I can attest to what many other people on this board have already said...the girls are extremely fan friendly. I also met a couple of the guys from The Fashion before the concert. They were very nice, awesome accents. I enjoyed their set, I will have to buy some of their music. The unfortunate thing about this venue was they didn't allow flash, so the only pics that really turned out where those of Leisha cuz she was right in front of us I wanted some good Cam ones too, but sadly will just have to nab some from the other people who took good pics at the concert. Love your pics by the way badjedi The girls played an awesome, awesome set. All of my favorites were played, the only two songs that I noticed they didn't play were Dreamer and Mystery Lights. They did a good job with crowd interaction and it was easy to get really sucked in to their show. My favorite performances that they did were "Everyone", "I See Red", "Say So", "Explode" and "Not A Love Song"....but all of the songs were performed with great enthusiasm. Great crowd, met a lot of cool people and they also did a merch signing after the show, but no pics allowed. Can't wait til the next time they tour in the area...I will definitely be there...Here are some pics, a lot didn't show up sadly since flash couldn't be used, but here are the best ones."
Nice review and pics Heather (hmorsey)--yet another chance meeting with the girls which turned out GREAT!!! :)

EXPLODE VIDEO

OK-I know most of you have seen this video. I peeped it a few months back on YouTube, so I don't really see how it's a premiere. But anyway, I like the animation and the concept....I dunno-it seems really 'eh' to me. It just doesn't grab me for some reason...maybe because I'd rather see the Leisha and Cam as themselves in the video. There was also some talk about the whole "hetero" theme to it. I dunno--what do you guys think of the vid? :)

UHH ON TXA 21//DALLAS

This is a really cool interview---The girls have definitely grown musically since the last tour...I wish them the best. :)

Cam's Mistake

OK CHECK THIS OUT---I've been trying to figure this out, so help me if you can. The girls just finished singing Common Reaction and now they are supposedly singing "So Long" or vice versa...Well Leisha is trying to get Cam's attention because she is singing the wrong lyrics. Leisha says "No, Cam..CAM!" Is that right? She was singing the wrong lyrics? It is too cute anyway... :)
