Hanging With Rose In SF

What a wonderful time I had in San Fran this weekend hanging with Rose Rollins and her crew. It was quite an auspicious event. The only downside to it was that we got lost trying to find our hotel, which we found out later that it was 8 minutes from the airport. We got there about 10:30pm and Rose hadn't arrived yet. The VIP line got us through rather quickly, and once we were inside...We made a B Line to the food and bar area and waited for Rose to arrive. VIP IS THE WAY TO GO!!! Rose showed up about 11:30pm and was instantly mobbed by her fans. Of course I had to get in on the action...I pushed my way to the front of the bar where she was standing--when I first got up there, she had just finished ordering drinks for her brothers, who are in the pics above. I introduced myself and asked her if she saw her birthday wishes on Greys Blog? After a pondering for a few moments--she said, with a surprised look on her face, that she remembered me. I stood there and spoke with her a bit about the Atlanta based magazine that I write for, and talked to her about doing a possible future interview with her after filming. She asked me if she could keep the magazines and of course it was no problem...I wanted her to have them. Long story short---We took pics, I met her brothers (who are absolutely ADORABLE!!!) and we had a great mini conversation. Kaye-I asked Rose when she was coming back to da ATL--she said she didn't know.
Rose is currently in Vancouver filming the last season of TLW. She's is beautiful on camera, but nothing compares to actually seeing her in person..what a lovely woman. After leaving Rose to her many adoring fans, I spotted Danny (Tila Tequila) chilling with some fanatics. I caught a cute photo opportunity with her; she was soo nice and sweet. The trip to SF was an experience I'll never forget---I met Leisha, and now Rose (My beloved Tasha & Alice)...It doesn't get any better than this.

It's that time of year again, where Gay Pride is in full force. Speedy is going to tell us about her experience at San Francisco Pride and meeting the lovely Rose Rollins. Uh Huh Her played at Toronto's Pride this week. Are any of you going to Pride this year? If so, tell us about it! I will be venturing off to San Francisco this week for Gay Pride and Rose Rollins will be in the house at one of the events. My friend and I bought VIP tickets for the party hoping to rub noses with Miss Rollins herself. ...it was Ellen & Anne-Melissa & Julie-KD & Leisha...WOW! It's funny how life takes you down a yellow brick road of love..every turn is a new experience of lifes learning processes...but on the otherside of that road you reach a brick wall; a place where you must free yourself from those you once loved and take on a new path with no dead ends; a new journey to seek out someone who is willing to go the long haul with you ...These couples have all gone their separate ways, but each has found Love, Happiness and Stability with another; Leisha & Nina--Ellen & Portia--KD & Pam--Melissa & Tammy--Anne & ? The Wonders of Camila Grey

Camila Grey, Camila Grey, Camila Grey! Learn that name ladies because this woman should be on your radar. Many may think she is Leisha's sidekick, but she is a wonder all her own. She grew up playing the piano and went on to learn to play many other instruments including guitar. I had the privelage of meeting her when Uh Huh Her came to Atlanta May 12, 2008. She may come off as the dark mysterious one, but she is one of the sweetest people you could ever meet. With my voice shaky from nerves at being so close to them, her voice easily put me at ease. She has a smile that could make you melt, a tremendous singing voice, and a sense of humor that will leave you in stitches. Anyone is lucky to be around such a beautiful and talented woman. So again I add, Camila Grey, Camila Grey, CAMILA GREY! I look forward to seeing more of you in the near future.

LEISHA AND UH HUH HER BACK AT HOME IN LA...BEST SHOW EVER...
I captured some great video footage of the band in LA this past weekend but haven't figured out yet how to add it to the blog...I am definitely having some problems in that dept--somebody help. The ladies were nothing short of spectacular and true to form. It was obvious that they were happy to be back at home belting out ubiquitous melodies in their home town, and it showed in their performance. Leisha couldn't stop cheesing, jumping and swinging her newly dyed platinum blonde locks all across the stage **we were lovin' it**. Cam was lovable as usual, and at the end of the night even managed to slip me the warmest hug a girl could ever get. They performed all of the songs from their upcoming album due to be released mid August. Yep, I would say this was the best concert by the foursome to date before Leisha packs up for four months and heads to Vancouver this week to film the last and final season of The L Word...then the tour resumes in Seattle in August. What a way to end a multi city tour. Three additional bands performed before UHH took the stage in front of 400 fans; but it wasn't long before their was a distraction amongst the revelers. A special added surprise guest made her entrance, and the crowd wanted to be in the know. Kate Moennig showed up with few friends donning a cute fidora straw hat looking sexy as ever. Her presence in house brought out the cameras, video camcorders and reporters for the event flocking over to get a piece of miss Moennig. But once the show was over--she was gone almost as quickly as she appeared. Vnight was my date for the evening..:-)--- we had a BLAST!!!!! I will mos def get the videos up as soon as possible...To sum up my experience, this trip to the city of Angels absolutely gets an A+ , and Leisha, as always, is in a class by herself.
